  • Kylah + Candles
"I’ve always had such a great love for my culture and people, so I thought ‘what if I could find a way to combine these two interests together and create my own business?’” she says. “I’ve always known I wanted to create something that celebrated Black culture, but the idea to do this with candles was something that was relatively new to me."
  • "McDaniel was the framework to start building something bigger, better all the time. It was way later in life that I realized how much it helped me and how those little bits and pieces that I thought were insignificant weren’t."
  • McDaniel College alumnus Dr. Todd Peters '02
“The parts of medicine that I really liked — and what I loved about my education at McDaniel — were thinking creatively and systematically, working within teams and learning to cherish getting to know people’s stories.”
