Meet McDaniel: Profiles from the Hill
Ask anyone their favorite things about McDaniel, and somewhere in a long list they’ll say, “Community.” McDaniel is defined by the scholars, mentors, and alumni who discovered a home on the Hill, so it only makes sense to meet them. “If you would have told me when I was graduating from McDaniel that I’d start my own nonprofit, I would have said, ‘No way, that’s a lot,' and it is a lot. But we just built from where we were and all of a sudden, it just makes sense.”- “I felt like I didn’t have just one faculty mentor – I felt like I had an entire department of faculty mentors. That doesn’t end in the classroom but extends to guiding you through your academic career and figuring out what your post-academic career might look like.”
“McDaniel provided me all the resources to do exactly what I needed and wanted to do. I know I met all the right people there to set me up for success and feel strongly that it was the best place for me.”
