We have a variety of outdoor facilities available for events from weddings to company picnics and friendly golf tournaments. Let us help you plan an outdoor event that your guests are sure to enjoy.

Nestled alongside Hoover Library with a picturesque view of Gill Stadium, the Garden Terrace is a serene location for a party, picnic, outdoor meeting, fundraiser, and more.

Amenities and features:

  • Electrical access (4 outlets)

  • Movable tables and seating

Hoover Library Garden Terrace

  • Uses: Parties, picnics, meetings 
  • Rental rate: Starting at $50 for 1 hour (1-hour minimum rental required) 
    Discounts are available for nonprofits, faculty, and staff  

Harvey Stone Park & Pavilion (coming soon!)

The historic Harvey Stone Park & Pavilion is undergoing renovations that will turn the pavilion into a living-learning laboratory on the edge of campus surrounded by the beautiful sights and sounds of Carroll County nature. Stay tuned for more information on the plans for the upgraded, modernized pavilion, which will be available for rental when renovations are complete. The current park and pavilion was built in 1934 and named for Harvey A. Stone, superintendent of buildings and grounds for 48 years.

With more than 30% of McDaniel’s students participating in Division III intercollegiate athletics, availability is extremely limited during the academic year and will be subject to approval and coordination with the Intercollegiate Athletics department. Over the summer, we have many repeat camps and clinics hosted on campus, resulting in limited availability in those months. During this time, event planning is coordinated by Conference & Event Services.
