Friday, Nov. 1 - Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024

All Green Terror alumni are invited back to the Hill for Homecoming 2024. On Friday, we celebrate our Athletics Hall of Fame Inductees. Then on Saturday, join us for a brunch with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the Alumni Council. We also honor our recently departed alumni with our bi-annual Memorial Bell Ringing Ceremony. Afterward, connect with fellow Green Terrors at the football game vs. Ursinus, check in the Office of Alumni Engagement at the caboose, or swing by one of our featured tailgate tents.

Join us to honor the outstanding athletic achievements of this year’s inductees. The event will be a night of celebration, reflection, and inspiration as we pay tribute to the exceptional individuals who have left a lasting legacy at our institution. Don't miss this opportunity to honor our newest Hall of Fame members and reconnect with fellow alumni. Tickets include hors d’oeuvres, a seated dinner, and a beer and wine bar.

Saturday, Nov. 2 Baseball Alumni Game 9:30 a.m. | Preston Field

Step up to the plate and relive the thrill of the game at the annual baseball alumni game over Homecoming Weekend. Check-in opens at 9:30 a.m. Be ready to warm up before first pitch at 11 a.m. Stick around after the alumni game for a complimentary tailgate as we cheer Green Terror football to victory against Ursinus at 1 p.m. Don’t strike out by missing this!

Saturday, Nov. 2 Third Annual Brunch hosted by the DEI Committee of the Alumni Council   10 a.m. | Naganna Forum, Roj Student Center

Join the DEI Committee of the Alumni Council to engage in meaningful conversations, connect with students, and celebrate the diverse community that makes McDaniel special. Enjoy delicious soul food local chefs and a stirring performance by the McDaniel Gospel Choir.

Saturday, Nov. 2 Bi-annual Memorial Bell Ringing Ceremony 11:30 a.m. | Memorial Plaza (Red Square) (Rain Location: Little Baker Chapel)

Led by members of the Student Alumni Council, join us to honor recently passed alumni at the bi-annual memorial bell ringing ceremony. Gather with fellow alumni and the McDaniel community to pay tribute and honor their legacy. The service will conclude with the singing of our beloved alma mater. 

(*Memorial Bell Ringing program will include names of alumni who we have been notified of passing since June 2024.)

Saturday, Nov. 2 Tour of the Black Student Union (BSU) Clubroom 11:30 a.m. | BSU Clubroom, McDaniel Hall

Join us for a tour of the BSU Clubroom, which is currently under renovation. Located in McDaniel Hall, the clubroom is a space dedicated to fostering community and celebrating the rich history of our Black Student Union. Come see the renovations and exciting updates firsthand.  

The BSU is committed to promoting the recognition and involvement of Black students on campus. This clubroom serves as a vital hub for fostering a strong, united voice that influences decisions affecting the college community. 

Introducing our new Featured Tailgates! This year, we’re excited to offer a prime spot on the Hill for affinity groups to gather and celebrate during Homecoming. For our inaugural event, we’re spotlighting four special gatherings:

  • Alpha Nu Omega’s 45th Anniversary Celebration
  • Groovy 70s Tailgate 
  • Football 1999 Centennial Conference Championship 25th Anniversary
  • McDaniel Women's Leadership Network

Saturday, Nov. 2 Alumni Tailgating Tent 11 a.m. | Gill Stadium bowl by the caboose

Swing by the Alumni Tailgating Tent starting at 11 a.m. for a fun-filled Homecoming kickoff for all ages! Check in with our team for a chance to win exclusive swag, browse the pop-up campus store, and enjoy a hotdog and cold beverage from grillmaster Don Hobart ’62. Don’t forget to visit our face-painting and balloon-twisting stations starting at noon.  

Please note: Parking in the stadium lot for the 2024 Football Season is $20 per car and the lot opens 3 hours prior to kick off. Parking elsewhere on campus is still free.

Before the game, catch our pre-game programming! Find out which Greek organizations get awarded the James Brant Memorial Cup, hear the Homecoming Court announcements, and find out who has the best “Letters on the Hill!”

Saturday, Nov. 2 Groovy Gathering at the Greene Turtle 4:30 p.m. (postgame) | The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille, 830 Market St, Westminster, MD 21157

Keep the party going at the Greene Turtle after the Homecoming game. Alumni from the Classes of 1971-75 are invited to reconnect and enjoy a laid-back evening with friends.
