    Sophomore named semifinalist for Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship at Regional Theater Festival

    Danielle Carter, a sophomore Political Science major, was named a semifinalist for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, Region II. The 2023 Region II Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) was Jan. 17-21, 2023, and included students and faculty representing colleges and universities from eight states and Washington, D.C.

    McDaniel College announces its Fall 2022 dean's list, recognizing full-time undergraduate students for outstanding academic achievement. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 grade point average.

    Students in Adjunct Lecturer Lisa Lebo’s First Year Seminar course, Find Your Strong: Running for Your Life, are off to a running start at McDaniel. That is, they’re spending time at the track and in the classroom exploring the physiological, emotional, and community-building benefits of running as part of their introduction to McDaniel.

    From cards to board games, you can find math in surprising places, as students in the First Year Seminar Unseen Math in Puzzles and Games are learning from Senior Lecturer of Mathematics Michele Gribben '87. The interdisciplinary course is one of many First Year Seminars that introduce the newest Green Terrors to academics and resources at McDaniel.

    Officials from Carroll Community College and McDaniel College have signed a Dual Admissions Agreement offering a clear pathway for students to earn a bachelor's degree at McDaniel after completing an associate degree at Carroll.

    Students in Associate Professor Paul Muhlhauser’s First Year Seminar are discovering that there’s more than meets the eye when it comes to their favorite Marvel superheroes as they examine tropes, representation, and transmedia in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    McDaniel College Theatre Arts presents a production directed by theatre arts department chair Gené Fouché that recounts the tragedy of Marie Curie's factory workers. Performances are Thursday, November 17-Saturday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m. on the WMC Alumni Hall Mainstage at McDaniel College.

Students were also named to prestigious academic and leadership honor societies, including Alpha Lambda Delta, Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Trumpeters.
