    Registration opens for McDaniel College's Carroll County Scholars program

    All current 8th and 10th grade students in Carroll County are invited to enroll to participate in receiving college search support and a $100,000 scholarship to McDaniel College through Carroll County Scholars. The Carroll County Scholars program provides assistance to Carroll County students as they navigate the college search process.

    First-year and transfer students awarded Educator's and Military Legacy Scholarships

    McDaniel College has awarded more than 100 first-year and transfer students with Educator's and Military Legacy Scholarships valued at up to $132,000, or $33,000 annually over four years. Any student who qualifies for McDaniel's Educator’s Legacy Scholarship or Military Legacy Scholarship is automatically awarded the scholarship.

    Alumni create scholarship program for Glen Burnie High School graduates studying at McDaniel

    Alumni couple Bryson and Carol Popham, who both graduated from the college in 1973, created the Mildred R. Popham Scholarship in honor of Bryson’s mother. Up to four $10,000 annual scholarships will be awarded starting in the 2025-26 academic year to graduates of Glen Burnie High School in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, with preference given to students planning to major or minor in Education.

    Donation supports scholarship for incoming first-year students through the McDaniel Women's Leadership Network

    McDaniel College has received a $10,000 donation from higher education partner CampusWorks to support an endowed scholarship through the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network. Liz Murphy, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for CampusWorks, has also personally donated to help fund a new experiential and emergency use fund, also through the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network, to provide grants to assist current McDaniel students.

    Six incoming Class of 2028 students are the college’s newest Dorsey Scholars. The Dorsey Scholars Program is the highest academic honor at McDaniel and includes full tuition, room, and board for all four years.

    Five Baltimore City high school seniors awarded full-tuition scholarships to McDaniel

    Representatives from McDaniel College, Baltimore City Public Schools, and the CollegeBound Foundation surprised five Baltimore City high school seniors with full-tuition scholarships to attend McDaniel College as part of the Class of 2028. They each received a scholarship covering full tuition for all four years at McDaniel, valued at approximately $200,000.

    Family establishes scholarship in memory of Norman "Trey" Alva Armstrong III

    The $25,000 scholarship fund establishes an endowed scholarship in memory of Norman "Trey" Alva Armstrong III, who came to McDaniel in fall 2019 and majored in Business Administration before taking a leave of absence in his senior year due to a recurrence of childhood leukemia. The scholarship will be awarded annually starting in the 2024-25 academic year.

    McDaniel College awards five Baltimore City high school seniors full-tuition scholarships

    Representatives from McDaniel College, Baltimore City Public Schools, and the CollegeBound Foundation surprised five Baltimore City high school seniors with full-tuition scholarships to attend McDaniel College as part of the Class of 2027. They each received a scholarship covering full tuition for all four years at McDaniel, valued at more than $180,000.
  • Dr. Julia Jasken Human Services Management Scholarship

    New scholarship established for graduate students in Human Services Management

    Target Community & Educational Services, Inc., has established a new $25,000 scholarship in honor of McDaniel College’s 10th president, Dr. Julia Jasken. The Dr. Julia Jasken Endowed Scholarship is for a graduate student studying in McDaniel’s Human Services Management master’s degree program.
