McDaniel College celebrates inauguration of President Julia Jasken

Join the inauguration celebration! The installation ceremony for Dr. Julia Jasken is set for Saturday, April 9, with a series of events that are free and open to the public to kick off the festivities.

McDaniel College celebrates the inauguration of the college’s 10th President, Dr. Julia Jasken.

On June 1, 2021, Dr. Julia Jasken became the 10th president of McDaniel College and the second woman president in the college’s over 150-year history. She has dedicated nearly her entire professional life to higher education and most notably to McDaniel, beginning in the classroom at McDaniel in 2003 as an English professor.

The official installation ceremony for President Jasken takes place Saturday, April 9, at 3:30 p.m., in Gill Center. The ceremony will also be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in-person.

A series of events that are free and open to the public kick off the festivities in honor of this historic event.
