Sara Caporaletti displays her recent mixed media work examining her experiences as a practicing Catholic. Caporaletti, who works in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, video and audio, said that her work “sincerely examines my experiences as a practicing Catholic within my identity and life. I am curious about how women and the Church relate, as well as the concept of the term ‘body’ within the Church.” She received a bachelor’s degree from McDaniel in 2014 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from American University in 2016. She has exhibited throughout Washington, D.C., and is currently an artist-in-residence at Wesley Theological Seminary’s Luce Center for the Arts and Religion in Washington D.C.
Chanan Delivuk uses new media, including photography, video and audio, to create installations that focus on family, conversation and food, such as “navigating family in an unfamiliar place” about her trip to Croatia. She describes herself as a “slum kid and a scholar.” She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from McDaniel in 2008. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree in new media from George Washington University in 2010 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in intermedia and digital arts from UMBC in 2015.
