McDaniel in the News: Boys & Girls Club party and African drumming
The College’s annual holiday party hosted more than 100 Boys & Girls Club members and included a visit from Santa, crafts and a special present for each boy and girl.
The first African Percussion Ensemble concert filled McDaniel’s Decker Center Forum with the sights and sounds of West Africa — drumbeats, dance and storytelling — compliments of the College ensemble as well as instructor Pape Demba “Paco” Samb’s Super Ngewel African Drum and Dance Ensemble.
