Join this week’s Green Table Talk

Green Terror Table Talks, a weekly virtual space for students of color, presents “Men of Color are to Police as BIPOC Women are to Doctors: Examining the Disproport” this Thursday, March 11, at 3pm on Zoom. Email Jose Moreno (jmoreno@mcdaniel.edu) with any questions.

COVID rate disparities, high mortality rates, and many other poor health outcomes are a result of the institutionalization of racism in medicine; specifically with how the medical field views patients, their needs, wants and pain thresholds when they identity as BIPOC. Why is this? Let’s talk about it!

Mark your calendars for “Speech and Debate”

McDaniel College Theatre presents “Speech and Debate,” a comedy by Stephen Karam, March 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m. Senior McDaniel Theatre Arts major Zack Callis directs the show. “Speech and Debate” examines what happens when three teenage misfits in Salem, Oregon discover they are linked by a sex scandal that’s rocked their town.

The event is only open to current students, faculty, & staff of McDaniel. Attendees must follow all campus health/safety protocols. Please note the show contains mature language and alcohol use. For more information, visit the show’s Facebook event or call 410-857-2448.

Discuss faith and spirituality in the workplace

On Tuesday, March 16, at 6:30pm, CEO and ODEI continue our Interfaith Zoom Series with a panel presentation on "Negotiating Faith and Spirituality in the Workplace". This panel will feature folks who identify as Quaker, Pagan, and Muslim, and will explore how they navigate their faith or spiritual practices in employment. Presenters will discuss both the challenges and successes. Register in advance. Email Katherine Taylor (kataylor@mcdaniel.edu) with any questions.
