Senior Cinema majors showcase original capstone films during Cinema Showcase
Six senior Cinema majors premiere their original films during the McDaniel Cinema Showcase on May 5 in Decker Auditorium, Lewis Hall of Science. Each film was written, directed, produced, and edited by Cinema majors as their final capstone project.
Six senior Cinema majors present their original films during the McDaniel Cinema Showcase. Each student wrote, directed, produced, and edited capstone films as portfolios of their work.
Students are Brooke Anderson, Cinema major from Baltimore, Liam Breslin, Communication and Cinema major from Reading, Pennsylvania, Dylan Chainey, Cinema major from Baltimore, Hayden Draycott, Cinema-Theatre Arts major from Chevy Chase, Maryland, Ryan DeGroff, Cinema major from Westminster, Maryland, and Christian Lewis, Cinema major from Baltimore.
The McDaniel Cinema Showcase is Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m., in Decker Auditorium, Lewis Hall of Science.
Admission is free and open to the public.

A student made documentary about nicotine addiction in college. "Smoke Signals" tackles some harsh issues that students face or may face in college and provides a relatable output platform for students who may be struggling presently.
"The CDL Lifestyle" by Dylan Chainey, Cinema major from Baltimore
A journey through how the trucking industry has been affected by COVID-19, including the demographic shift for truckers and changes of the trucking hiring process and protocol. "The CDL Lifestyle" includes several interviews with local trucking associates.
"Mattoon" by Hayden Draycott, Cinema-Theatre Arts major from Chevy Chase, Maryland
A mysterious masked, antagonistic entity uses a lethal nerve toxin to wreck havoc on the residents of the small college town of Mattoon. The residents must band together with local police to find out who the mysterious intruder is and what he's after before it's too late. Meanwhile the local FBI also have mysterious motivations of their own within the town as well...
"The Road to Gettysburg" by Ryan DeGroff, Cinema major from Westminster, Maryland
"The Road to Gettysburg" discusses the events of Corbit's Charge which took place in the streets of Westminster, Maryland, during the American Civil War. This smaller skirmish played a role on delaying the Confederate forces arrival to the Battle of Gettysburg.
"Ring Ring" by Christian Lewis, Cinema major from Baltimore
