Students inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society

Twenty-eight McDaniel College students were virtually inducted May 5 into the Delta of Maryland Chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa national honor society.

The induction ceremony included remarks by McDaniel College President Roger Casey and Delta of Maryland Chapter President Michele Lawyer Gribben, senior lecturer in Mathematics & Computer Science. Other speakers included Mary Bendel-Simso, English professor, and Stephen Feeley, associate professor of History.

Founded in 1776, The Phi Beta Kappa Society is the nation's oldest academic honor society. It has chapters at 286 colleges and universities in the United States and more than half a million members throughout the country.
