McDaniel College students perform in the premiere of an original devised theatre piece. Titled “Theory of RelativiTV,” performances are Thursday, May 1-Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dorothy Elderdice Studio Theatre in WMC Alumni Hall.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors (over 60), active military members and veterans, as well as those with a McDaniel College ID. For ticket information, call 410-857-2448.

The production is a creation of Advanced Theatre students in McDaniel's Devising for Performance class taught by Gené Fouché, assistant professor and department chair of Theatre Arts. The students are the writers, directors, actors, and sound designers.

About the show, Fouché said, “Reality TV has taken over the airwaves. This quirky sketch comedy explores the ups and downs, the challenges, and quirks of the TV genre we love to hate.”

The Devising for Performance course is a collaborative, group-oriented approach to theatre-making. During this course, McDaniel students use improvisational and performance techniques to create a play to be performed on the McDaniel stage.
