Interfaith Service

McDaniel College hosts several interfaith events each semester Interfaith Celebration & Service Welcoming all those of diverse religious, spiritual and ethical beliefs

  • The Interfaith Celebration: Semesterly celebration in collaboration with the cultural and religious student organizations with the goal of deepening individuals understanding of other’s faith and value.
  • The Interfaith Service: One Interfaith Service a year to foster a sense of community and belonging.
  • Interfaith Community Dinners:  Semesterly community dinners for all employees to bring together McDaniel staff and faculty and provide a space for discussions.

I call you out of darkness into light Out of Darkness: A Celebration of Light A special evening filled with light, education, food, and the sharing of religious and cultural traditions.

Out of Darkness brings the McDaniel College campus community together in unity to celebrate our campus history, learn from one another, uplift our cultural organizations, share our differing religious and cultural traditions, usher in the winter holiday season, and have fun together as a community.

As each student engages with our educational experience, they expand their worldview and knowledge, becoming more enlightened. This deeply personal journey is reflected in the college's motto, E Tenebris in Lucem Voco, which means, "I call you out of darkness into light."

The EDGE Experience is a mentorship program for first-generation college students. From year one at McDaniel, EDGE provides a comprehensive collegiate experience to support student success.
