McDaniel offers internal grants and awards to facilitate your educational experiences outside the classroom, such as: 

  • Student Attendance at Professional Conferences (Registration and travel costs) 
  • Internships (Support for housing, transportation, and other expenses) 
  • Study Abroad (Semester, Summer, and Jan Term programs costs)

Applicants must be current undergraduate students in good academic and financial standing with the college to apply for and receive Experiential Learning funds. 

 

Application deadlines: 1st of the month, September-April. 

 

Applications for the 2024-2025 academic year will open August 15th, 2024.

Tatiana Hamilton Summer 2023 Intern

Funding Secures Ideal Internship

In the months leading up to summer 2023, Tatiana Hamilton '24, an Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies major with a cultural specialization and Political Science major with an International Studies specialization, and a minor in Spanish, sought an internship that matched her academic ambitions.

An experiential learning grant allowed Tatiana to secure her ideal internship with the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, where she participated in embassy visits and ambassador meetings

“This internship was a rewarding experience and has taught me a lot about my future career aspirations and how to navigate the workplace and professional settings."
