Bachelor’s to Master’s Pathways

McDaniel College’s Bachelor’s to Master’s (BA/MS) pathways give motivated students the chance to earn both their undergraduate and graduate degrees faster and at a lower cost. These pathways are designed to help students gain advanced skills and knowledge that are important in today’s job market, allowing them to save time and money while getting ahead.

 

By offering these pathways, McDaniel College meets the growing need for higher education and professional expertise. Students who choose a BA/MS pathway can build strong qualifications for their careers, putting themselves in a better position to succeed by earning an advanced degree.

How McDaniel College’s BA/MS Pathways Work

  • Eligibility: To apply, you need at least 64 completed credit hours and a GPA of 2.75 or higher. 
  • Application: Apply online through the BA/MS application form. Your application will be reviewed by both your undergraduate advisor and the graduate program coordinator. 
  • Course Enrollment: Once accepted, you can start taking graduate courses after completing 80 credit hours with a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

BA/MS Pathways Program Details

  • Graduate Credits: You can take up to 9 graduate credits that count toward both your bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
  • Tuition: The cost of these graduate courses is included in your undergraduate tuition.
  • Degree Completion: You’ll receive your bachelor’s degree once all undergraduate requirements are met. If you decide to continue with the master’s program, you must officially notify the Graduate & Professional Studies office at gps@mcdaniel.edu for enrollment information.

BA/MS Pathways Program Options

Undergraduate students who plan to pursue a BA to MS pathway have their choice of either a structured pathway or a student-designed pathway.
