Economics & Business Administration
Adriano Lima d Silva

I began my academic journey in Brazil, initially studying engineering before discovering my true passion for finance and accounting. I am a CPA licensed professional who earned an MBA from Thunderbird, AZ, and a Master of Accountancy from George Washington University. I also hold certificates in Cybersecurity and Business Data Analysis from Virginia Tech. I believe that while accounting fundamentals can be challenging for students, they lay the foundation for understanding key concepts essential to their future careers.

My transition to academia was driven by a desire to share my real-world knowledge and inspire the next generation of finance professionals. I can’t emphasize enough the importance of bridging academic theory with practical application, encouraging students to think strategically and analytically. With expertise in both cybersecurity and modern accounting trends, I highlight the growing importance of digital skills in the profession, which are transforming how financial transactions are recorded and verified.
