Alumni Perspectives

  • Alumna Sharon Love and daughter and Yeardley standing together.
“My teaching background helped me realize how much of an asset relatability is in this work. We didn’t want people to run away from this difficult topic, so we had to make it palatable, relatable, and accessible. We wanted the foundation to be a positive source of information and inspire positive changes in people’s lives."
  • Alum Zach Nibbelink looks at the camera while sitting in an Apache helicopter cockpit.
"Taking a wide range of courses outside of my major made me more well-versed in topics that I may not otherwise have been exposed to. My Political Science degree gave me base-level knowledge of foreign affairs and political climates throughout the world."

"I loved that all of my professors knew who I was if they saw me walking by. I got to make some really great connections through all of the people I was able to know."
