Delegate Registration

We are honored to welcome you as a delegate on Saturday, April 9, 2022, for the inauguration of Dr. Julia Jasken as McDaniel College’s 10th president.

Online registrations will be accepted through March 25.

All events will be held in Robert Joshua Gill Center, unless otherwise noted. Delegate Schedule

Requests for interpreters and other accommodations can be made up to one week prior to the event by emailing president@mcdaniel.edu.

Registration 1:30 p.m.

Delegates can register in the lobby of the Robert Joshua Gill Center starting at 1:30 p.m. and you will be assigned your location in the processional when you register. A secure room will be available for robing, where delegates will be able to leave personal belongings during the ceremony.

Robing 2:30 p.m.

Delegates will assemble at 2:30 p.m. for robing. All delegates are asked to wear their own academic regalia for the ceremony. If you do not have a cap and gown, please contact the institution or organization you are representing so that they may provide you with the necessary academic regalia.

Academic Procession 3:00 p.m.

Delegates have the option to participate in the Academic Procession. Line up begins at 3 p.m. Each delegate will be arranged in the processional according to the founding date of the institution they represent.

Installation Ceremony 3:30 p.m.

The installation ceremony will start promptly at 3:30 p.m. McDaniel College staff members will be available to assist you.

Following the ceremony, you are invited to the ringing of the Old Main Bell in Memorial Plaza.

GPS Address: 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157: From Baltimore: Take I-695 to Exit 19 onto I-795 North. Continue to its completion. Follow signs to Westminster via Route 140 West around Westminster and turn left exiting onto Route 31. Make a left at the first traffic light onto Main Street.; From Washington D.C.: From I-495, exit onto I-270 North toward Frederick, then onto Route 27 North towards Damascus (Exit 16). Take Route 27 North to Westminster. Turn left at the intersection of Route 27 and Main Street and drive 1/2 mile.

Parking is available for guests throughout campus and will be marked accordingly. Delegates and guests of private events will receive additional instructions and parking passes for select lots.
