Alum Peter Spartin '84 joins McDaniel College Board of Trustees

McDaniel College has named Peter Spartin '84 to its Board of Trustees. Spartin, who graduated with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration, is currently managing director for Globalis Partners, an affiliate of Butler Capital Partners.

Peter Spartin '84 has joined the McDaniel College Board of Trustees.

McDaniel College has named Peter Spartin '84 to its Board of Trustees.

Spartin graduated in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the college, where he was a member of the Green Terror football team, involved with the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and contributed to the student newspaper. He later earned a Master of Science from the Johns Hopkins University in 1996. 

An investment advisor, Spartin has over 25 years of experience in investment and capital management and holds multiple Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) certifications. He is currently managing director for Globalis Partners, an affiliate of Butler Capital Partners, and previously held senior leadership roles at prominent firms including Fiduciary Trust International, John A. Levin & Company and ABN AMRO Asset Management, one of the nation’s largest investment management banks.

He has remained involved at McDaniel, volunteering as a mentor to students in the college’s Investment Club and helping to facilitate internship opportunities.

Originally from Potomac, Maryland, Spartin currently lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife, Debbie. They have two adult children, Caroline and William.
