Deborah Lanius Cameron '75 named McDaniel College Alumna of the Year
McDANIEL COLLEGE NAMES DEBORAH LANIUS CAMERON AS ALUMNA OF THE YEAR

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel College has named Deborah Lanius Cameron of Laurel, Md., Alumna of the Year for 2018.
A 1975 graduate of the college with a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies, Cameron was a finance and business planning manager at Verizon for 35 years.
At McDaniel, she has served as president of the Alumni Association and earned the Meritorious Service Award in 1990 for her contributions to various college committees.
She has also been involved in the community as a volunteer for athletic organizations, the Savage, Md., Boys and Girls Club, and with Gorman Crossing Elementary School, Laurel Woods Elementary School and Reservoir High School in Howard County, Md. In 2010, she was named “Woman of the Year” by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches.
In addition to her degree from the college, Cameron holds an M.B.A. from Loyola College (now Loyola University Maryland).
