I Love the Hill Day, 2.23.21

McDaniel College celebrates I Love the Hill month. With Feb. 23 marking the third annual I Love the Hill Day, alumni, students, faculty, staff, and more share the many reasons they love the Hill throughout the month. They tell stories of love connections, life-changing mentors, and lifelong friendships. The month concludes with the McDaniel community coming together to support students in a big way.

On Feb. 23, the entire McDaniel community has a chance to make a difference for current and future students. The goal to reach is 725 donors in just one day. To participate, visit www.mcdaniel.edu/ilthday.

The last year has reinforced the importance of community and connection. It has taught individuals to take advantage of precious moments or carpe diem as inscribed in McDaniel’s gazebo.

I Love the Hill month brings opportunities to become an ambassador, offers ways to get friends and family involved through creative challenges, and to show your passion for McDaniel on social media. There's also a way to celebrate I Love the Hill Day in classes or meetings with new virtual backgrounds.

Throughout the sixth annual I Love the Hill month, there are also three virtual alumni events. From I Love the Hill Trivia hosted by Fernando Gomes ’10 on Feb. 5 to a virtual conversation about life on the Hill hosted by Tyler Wilson '95 in I Love the Hill Green Terror Talk, the possibilities are endless.

Relax with a Hilltop Toddy, crafted by Don Hobart ’62 and Janice Hobart ’63, while learning to draw the iconic features of McDaniel’s campus from Art League student Liz Mince ’22 during I Love the Hill Tipsy Doodle on Feb. 19.

Last year, I Love the Hill Day was a resounding success thanks to the alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends who came together in support of McDaniel.
