McDaniel College senior Kekuta Bah selected among top college DJs in national contest

McDaniel College senior Kekuta Bah, known as DJ Kk, has been selected among the top college DJs in the NCPA™ College DJ Championship. The first round of the NCPA™ competition takes place Nov. 16-21, 2021, with winners of the regional brackets, semifinals, and finals determined through online voting at UpstagedU.com.

Kekuta Bah, a senior at McDaniel College, has been selected among the top 32 college DJs in the nation.

The inaugural National Collegiate Performing Arts (NCPA)™ College DJ Championship has selected Kekuta Bah, a senior at McDaniel College from Silver Spring, Md., among the top 32 college DJs in the nation. Bah is majoring in Accounting Economics and Business Administration.

Bah, known as DJ Kk, is the No. 1 seed in the Mid-Atlantic region in the competition and is competing on behalf of the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation. Winning DJs will receive $10,000 in cash prizes split among themselves and their chosen charity, plus $20,000 in high-end DJ gear.

At McDaniel, Bah serves as vice president of both the Black Student Union and the college’s Phi Iota chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He is also treasurer of McDaniel’s Africa’s Legacy student organization and is involved as a member of the Student Government Association and the college’s NAACP chapter.

He is also a student ambassador for the Center for Experience and Opportunity (CEO) and has assisted in providing free income tax preparation services through McDaniel’s Economics and Business Administration department’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
