McDaniel hosts Homecoming 2023
McDaniel College alumni, students, families, and community members celebrate Homecoming 2023, Sept. 29 and 30, with Homecoming traditions along with a celebration of the Green Terror mascot’s 100th birthday and athletic events, including tailgating at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium. Additionally, the Green & Gold Challenge, a weeklong competition to support McDaniel's student-athletes, runs Sept. 25 through Oct. 2.
McDaniel College alumni, students, families, and community members celebrate Homecoming 2023 while cheering for McDaniel College athletics, either by tailgating at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium during the football game, or by watching other home athletic contests for field hockey or men’s and women’s soccer. Plus, special activities take place in conjunction with the football game in honor of the Green Terror’s 100th birthday.

The Green & Gold Challenge, a weeklong competition to support McDaniel's student-athletes, begins Sept. 25 and runs through Oct. 2. Give now!
Homecoming weekend kicks off Friday, Sept. 29, with the McDaniel College Athletics Hall of Fame Awards Celebration at 5:30 p.m. in Naganna Forum, Roj Student Center. Field hockey also takes on Ursinus College at 5 p.m. at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium.
On Saturday, Sept. 30, join McDaniel Admissions for Game Day for Green Terrors at 10 a.m. (advance registration required). Various alumni events, including a Networking Brunch sponsored by the DEI Committee of the Alumni Council and a Memorial Bell Ringing Ceremony, also take place.
Athletic events start at noon when women's soccer takes on Franklin & Marshall College. Pre-game Homecoming traditions prior to football playing Gettysburg College at 1 p.m. at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium include the presentation of the Homecoming court, naming of the winner of the Letters on the Hill contest, and awarding of the James Brant Memorial Cup to the McDaniel fraternity or sorority that excels in academics, varsity sports, leadership, and community service.
In honor of the Green Terror's 100th Birthday, a special celebration with cupcakes, face painting, and balloon artists for McDaniel’s youngest Green Terrors occurs from noon-2 p.m. in conjunction with the football game. There will also be a chance to sing "Happy Birthday" to the Green Terror during halftime along with recognition of the Alumni Association and McDaniel College Athletics Hall of Fame award recipients.
Men's soccer rounds out the day against Franklin & Marshall College at 3 p.m.
