Several McDaniel College students along with McDaniel President Julia Jasken represented the college Feb. 23 during Maryland Independent Higher Education Day.
The students met virtually with elected officials from Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, and St. Mary’s counties, as well as Baltimore City, while President Jasken participated in meetings in Annapolis, Md.
Maryland Independent Higher Education Day, organized by the Maryland Independent College and University Association (MICUA,) brings together more than 150 college students and administrators to celebrate funding of the Sellinger Program, the state grant program for eligible, nonprofit private colleges.
