McDaniel Weekly - November 17, 2020
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for keeping us safe on the Hill this fall. Our circumstances this semester required sacrifice on everyone’s part in order to maintain a safe and healthy campus community. I am sure there were days when you were just at your wits’ end with how COVID-19 was impacting your life at McDaniel, yet you pushed through and did the right thing. I am grateful beyond words and so appreciative for all of you.
From Liz Towle, Dean of Students
I would like to take a moment to thank all of you for keeping us safe on the Hill this fall. Our circumstances this semester required sacrifice on everyone’s part in order to maintain a safe and healthy campus community. I am sure there were days when you were just at your wits’ end with how COVID-19 was impacting your life at McDaniel, yet you pushed through and did the right thing. I am grateful beyond words and so appreciative for all of you.
I would also like to extend a very special thank you to the Campus Life Staff here at McDaniel. I have the privilege of working with an exceptional group of people who devote themselves day in and day out to creating a vibrant campus environment where students can thrive. Please take a moment to thank them too.
Study well, stay safe, and best wishes as you transition home for the holidays. We look forward to seeing many of you in online classes in January and back on campus in February!

P.S. How about those Patriots on Sunday Night Football!!!

Join us at the tables in Roj Student Center (across from the Pub) from 11:30am-1:30pm. Attendees will add their thumb print on an artistic representation of the Transgender Flag and write messages of hope and love to honor those who lost their lives to antitransgender violence.
Later that night, at 7pm on Zoom, Carroll County PFLAG, Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists, and St. Paul’s United Church of Christ will honor the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of antitransgender violence. RSVP here to receive the Zoom link.
