Political Science and Writing and Publishing major Madge Myers of York, Pennsylvania, was present at the convention to accept the award on behalf of Epsilon Nu. A rising senior, Myers is the former chapter president and current director of membership selection and the nominations chair.

"For me personally, this was so rewarding as I'm going into my fifth semester on the growth team where I help recruit new members for our chapter. Our chapter has always been active on campus and it's amazing to see all of our hard work truly be recognized on a national level," said Myers.

Alpha Sigma Tau was founded in 1899 at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and “is a national, lifelong organization that provides women with lasting and meaningful friendships grounded in shared values, relevant skills necessary to navigate life, and opportunities to enrich the lives of women,” according to the sorority.

“The Alpha Sigma Tau National Council congratulates the Epsilon Nu Chapter for their outstanding hard work, perseverance, and commitment to the Sorority and their community,” said Alpha Sigma Tau’s Director of Communications and Engagement Justina Solties.
