Perdue Farms COO Randy Day ’77 returns to the Hill for SmartTALK
President Roger Casey will lead a conversation with Randy Day ’77, chief operating officer of Perdue Farms, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m., when the McDaniel College SmartTALK series returns to Decker Center Forum. The event is free and open to the public.
Day returns to his alma mater to talk about his more than 36-year career with Perdue Farms. Under his guidance, the company is setting a new industry standard for how chickens are bred, raised and harvested that animal-rights organizations praise as precedent-setting. Day, who majored in Biology, will also share insights learned when Perdue became the first major poultry company to renounce routine antibiotic use in all its birds and established what has become the world’s largest organic poultry division.
Join us to learn how listening to consumer demands has guided Perdue back to the fundamentals of animal care, resulting in “happier chickens” and a healthy bottom line.
The hour-long event includes questions and answers from the audience. A live video stream of the event will also be available at www.mcdaniel.edu/livevideo. For more information, call 410-857-2290.
