President Roger Casey will lead a conversation with the 1997 alumni who co-founded Corporate Brokers, a fast-growing staffing solutions firm, March 6 at 7 p.m., when the McDaniel College SmartTALK series returns to Decker Center Forum. The event is free and open to the public.

Best friends Shane Ireland and Quinn Salamandra achieved early career success after graduating in 1997, but both felt dissatisfied with a lack of ownership and purpose in their jobs. They founded Corporate Brokers in 2003 to realize their own potential while helping their employees, consultants and clients do the same.

Together, the entrepreneurs have successfully expanded their staffing solutions firm, establishing offices in Maryland, New Jersey and Florida. Corporate Brokers has been recognized as one of America’s fastest-growing companies by Inc. magazine and currently employs 75 internal employees and a staff of 700 temporary employees who are placed in businesses in 32 states.

As the company expanded, the co-founders sought to recruit like-minded innovators and problem-solvers and instinctively turned to McDaniel alumni — several now serve on the company’s leadership team. Learn from these staffing-industry experts how their liberal arts education has fueled their careers and what distinguishes McDaniel grads in the marketplace.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 410-857-2290. Requests for interpreters can be made up to one week prior to the event by contacting interpretingservices@mcdaniel.edu. Live stream available online at www.mcdaniel.edu/livevideo
