Stephen T. Comes '93 receives Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame Award

STEPHEN T. COMES RECEIVES GREEN TERROR SPORTS HALL OF FAME AWARD FROM McDANIEL COLLEGE

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Stephen T. Comes of Doylestown, Pa., is a recipient of the Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame award from McDaniel College. He is a 1993 alumnus of the college.

Presented annually during McDaniel’s Homecoming, the Green Terror Sports Hall of Fame award is presented to a graduate and former athlete who has performed outstandingly as an undergraduate athlete and who has contributed to society since leaving the college.

Comes, who earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration, twice won the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) men’s individual golf championship as a member of the Green Terror golf team. He emerged on the league’s golf scene in 1991, winning his first individual championship and leading the team to the MAC championship. He repeated on the individual and team levels in 1993. Both of those years, he was named to the first team in the MAC’s post-season honors. In 2012, he was named to the MAC 100 Century Team for men’s golf. 

He continued his education at La Salle University, where he earned his MBA. Currently, he is vice president of the private client group for Boenning & Scattergood, a Philadelphia-area investment firm. 

He serves on the board of governors of the Bond Club of Philadelphia and is a board member of the JAG Fund, which raises money for brain tumor research.
