Books on display at Reading Clinic — Under the Sea was the theme for the 2021 McDaniel College Reading Clinic

Each summer, graduate students in McDaniel’s Reading Specialist: Literacy Leadership program are involved with the McDaniel College Reading Clinic, a comprehensive four-week experience providing reading and writing assistance to elementary school-aged students enrolled in Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS). The clinic has been around for over 40 years and is run by the McDaniel graduate students as a required component of their reading specialist master’s degree program.

The 2021 McDaniel College Reading Clinic was held at Mechanicsville Elementary School and the students enrolled had the opportunity to read and write about ocean habitats and animals.
