• Nearly 500 first-year and transfer students
• 18 states represented, including Maryland, plus Washington, D.C.
-Other states are Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia
• 13 countries represented:
-Canada, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guatemala, Liberia, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United States
• Over 40% are first-generation college students
• 200 high schools represented
• 78 incoming students are from Carroll County, Maryland
• 27% are participating in Athletics
• 35% were involved in community service
• 17% are actors and musicians
• Almost 50% worked outside of school
• Most popular names: Ryan, Zachary, Abigail, Madison, Matthew
• Not seeing double! There are 2 sets of twins
"Today, you embark on the next chapter of your educational journey. We are thrilled that you have chosen to join the McDaniel family and can't wait to see all you will learn and accomplish here on the Hill," President Jasken said to the Class of 2027 during Introduction Convocation.
