Before you arrive on The Hill...there are some important steps you need to take. Your admissions portal contains all the information you need to assist you through the process of becoming a Green Terror. There are a number of essential “to do’s” before you arrive on campus. Each step has a deadline and we want to help keep you on track.
To complete the enrollment checklist items, you should visit your Admissions Portal and sign in with the email and password you've used throughout the admissions process.
Activate your McDaniel student account as soon as possible so you can start completing your new student checklist.
Complete Health Insurance Waiver - 5 mins
Deadline: ASAP
If you have your own comparable health insurance coverage, waiving the McDaniel health insurance is easy! Waive the McDaniel Health Insurance to avoid the charge on your first semester bill.
Submit Required Health Forms - 10 mins
Deadline: January 15, 2025
To maintain a healthy campus community and comply with state law, all full-time undergraduate students must complete the pre-entrance health requirements, including the Pre-Entrance Student Health Form and proof of required immunizations. Students who have outstanding health requirements will not be permitted to move in, participate in orientation activities, athletic practices or competitions, or attend classes. A $500 late fee will be added to bills on January 24 if health requirements are not complete.
Submit Your Final Official High School Transcript
Your final high school transcript should be sent to the admissions office once you have graduated. Your final high school transcript should include your high school graduation date and is required in order for McDaniel to disburse any federal and state aid.
Housing
Submit Housing and Roommate Matching Application (Residential students only) - 20 mins
Taking your placement tests in English, Math and Language will help ensure you begin coursework at the best level and are ready for class registration.
Login to Financial Aid Self-Service via the MyMcDaniel Portal to be sure that you’ve completed all required financial aid items, including signing your offer letter, completing the promissory note and entrance counseling, and accepting any remaining aid that is pending.
Be sure your fall semester bill is paid by January 15 or that you've enrolled in a payment plan. Students who have not paid their bill or have an up-to-date payment plan will not be permitted to move in or participate in classes, Orientation programming, and athletic practices or competitions.
Student Accessibility & Support Services (SASS) assists all students with documented disabilities. The SASS Office works with each student on a case-by-case basis to determine and implement appropriate accommodations based on individual needs.
You can grant permission to a parent, guardian, spouse, or other trusted individual to access limited billing account information online as an authorized user.
Log on to the Student Finance section of mcdaniel.edu/self-service to designate your authorized user.
