    Forecast: Bright future ahead for senior with self-designed Meteorology major

    Kelly Novak teamed up with Physics professor Jeff Marx to design her major in Meteorology, a concentration of physics and math courses enriched with chemistry and environmental studies, which earned the Honors student a competitive summer research experience in atmospheric science and offers of funded graduate studies.

    Newest Dorsey Scholars named at McDaniel

    McDaniel College’s Admissions Office surprised five incoming Class of 2024 students by announcing them as the College’s newest Dorsey Scholars. The Dorsey Scholars Program is the highest academic honor at McDaniel and includes full tuition, room and board for all four years.

    Theatre Arts students receive national nominations

    McDaniel College Theatre Arts students receive national nominations for their acting work during McDaniel College’s Student-Directed Play Festival. Students must first compete at the regional level in January 2021 before potentially heading to the national competition at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in April 2021.

    McDaniel announces planned May 23 Commencement ceremonies for both Graduate and Undergraduate students will not take place. Although there may not be a ceremony, students who complete their degree requirements will still receive their diploma in June.

    Dressed as a wizard, an elf, a king and an elf princess from “Lord of the Rings,” three students and Psychology professor Paul Mazeroff enchanted the Baltimore Jungian Working Group with their analyses of different elements of Tolkien’s classic in terms of the psychology of Carl Jung.

    Three McDaniel juniors land prestigious Gilman scholarships to study abroad

    Supported by U.S. Department of State Gilman scholarships, Emem Akpan and Faith Young are studying abroad at McDaniel Europe, the college’s branch campus in Budapest, during spring semester and Priscilla Owusu heads to Dijon, France, in the summer to learn more about French culture and become more fluent in the language.
