McDaniel College’s fall 2024 campus events calendar is chock-full of art exhibitions, performances, lectures, and other events on the Hill. All of the events are open to the public and most are free.

Carroll County Arts Council

McDaniel College is the presenting sponsor for the Carroll County Arts Council’s 2024-25 season of exhibitions, concerts, performances, and special events! Plus, all McDaniel students, faculty, and staff with a McDaniel College ID will receive $5 tickets for most Carroll Arts Center events and free small popcorn throughout the season.

Some highlights include:

  • College-wide celebrations including Homecoming and Parent and Family Weekend, plus McDaniel is a proud sponsor of Westminster Fallfest, an annual community tradition, and will be kicking off the annual Westminster Fallfest Parade.
  • Solo Art exhibitions featuring sculptural photography by Sarah Hood Salomon and works by Anne Arundel Community College professor Chris Mona, along with an artist talk by Anne Arundel Community College professor Matt Klos.
  • Annual lectures, including the Phi Beta Kappa Lecture with University of Virginia professor Kristina Richardson and Holloway Lecture with bestselling author, humorist, and English professor at the University of Connecticut Gina Barreca.
  • Events hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, such as celebrations for Hispanic and LatinX Heritage Month, LGBTQIA+ History Month, and International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
  • Various music and theatre performances showcasing McDaniel faculty and students.
  • Admissions events for prospective students to discover McDaniel.
