McDaniel welcomes families to the Hill for Parent and Family Weekend
Current McDaniel families are invited to join their students for events and programs showcasing life on the Hill during Parent and Family Weekend, Friday, Nov. 15-Sunday, Nov. 17.

Parent and Family Weekend kicks off Friday, Nov. 15, with a resource spotlight to connect families with essential campus services and support systems along with the opportunity to visit the Center for Experience and Opportunity (1-3 p.m.) and First Year Seminar (FYS) classes (3-4 p.m.). A welcome reception from 4:15-6 p.m. is hosted by the Parent and Family Council. Families are then invited to partake in a special priced dinner in Englar Dining Hall (6-8 p.m.) before joining the Office of Student Engagement for a fun and tote-ally creative decorating event (8:30-10 p.m.).
Highlights on Saturday, Nov. 16, include a "Food Service Information Session and Q&A" (9-9:45 a.m.), "Connecting with Campus Leadership" (10-10:30 a.m.), "Careertracks" sessions (10:45-11:15 a.m.), and "Going Global: A World of Learning Awaits" (11:20-11:50 a.m.), prior to the Presidential Tailgate with President Julia Jasken and members of the Parent and Family Council or Fieldside Tailgate with the McDaniel Athletics Department, both at Kenneth R. Gill Stadium while Green Terror football takes on the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays. Plus, end the day with "Now Hear THIS!," a special musical and theatrical performance by McDaniel students involved in the Gospel Choir, Green TerrorTones, Jazz Ensemble, and McDaniel College Theatre (7 p.m.). "Rock the Hill" (8:30-10 p.m.) then features alum Jordan Greene '24 and friends providing musical selections in a club-like setting.
On Sunday, Nov. 17, an Interfaith Service led by Associate Provost for Equity and Belonging Richard Smith begins the day (9-9:45 a.m.). Then, join us for the Undergraduate Awards Ceremony to honor our undergraduate students for academic achievement and leadership (10-11 a.m.). A Farewell Champagne Brunch hosted by the Parent and Family Council closes out the weekend's activities (11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).
